The Hôtel d’Angleterre is located in the heart of Paris in the exceptional Saint-Germain-des-Prés district. On September 3, 1783, the preparation of the Treaty of Paris, proclaiming
the independence of the Federal Republic of the United States, took place within the walls of this handsome dwelling which was, at the time, the English Embassy.
On December 20, 1921, room 14  was occupied by an illustrious guest, Ernest Hemingway.
